Polish Folk Dance Class

Lowiczanie holds dance practice, or próba, every week on Tuesday (although we do NOT meet during the last half of June or the month of July). Anyone is welcome to come and dance no matter your dance experience or age (older than 13, though, kids can check out our children's group, Sokoły).

What to expect:

We typically start with stretching and warm ups. Then we work on basic steps (polka, waltz, oberek, mazur and more) and figures from our active repertoire of dances. We spend much of the practice learning choreographies. We learn dances from all over Poland and each region has its own uniques style and steps. We also provide snacks and time to socialize.
